Can my car already charge bidirectionally?

Not every EV supports this yet. But with a BlueBird Power charger, you’re already prepared: as soon as your (next) car supports it, you won’t need to replace your charging station.

Does bidirectional charging work with solar panels?

Yes — that’s exactly the idea. You can smartly charge your car using your own solar energy and (soon) feed power back to your home when needed. With the P1 dongle, we measure real-time generation and consumption so your charger automatically adjusts.

Do I need a 3-phase connection for a bidirectional charger?

Not necessarily. 3-phase charging is faster, but you can easily start with a 1-phase connection. Our load balancing ensures you always stay safely within your home’s power capacity.

Can I easily replace my current charger?

Yes. BlueBird Power provides adapter plates for existing mounting poles and a smart housing design, making replacement quick and seamless.

Do I need to hire an installer?

Any work inside the fuse box must always be done by a certified installer. The charger itself is designed for easy mounting, with clear step-by-step instructions in both the app and manual.
